What it is

TrenchMash is Facemash for fresh Solana memecoins. Two real tokens appear side by side, you pick the better meme, and the crowd decides which memes deserve attention.

It is a game, not a trading terminal. No wallet, no sign-up, no charts to study. Open the site, see two live tokens, vote, see the result, get the next pair.

Built for degens who live on pump.fun and X, meme accounts looking for spicy rankings, and token communities who want to defend their meme.

How to play

1. See a live pair. Two fresh tokens with ticker, picture, age, market cap, liquidity, 1h volume and 5m change. NEW marks tokens younger than 15 minutes.
2. Vote. Tap the picture or MASH on the meme you like more. Arrow keys work too.
3. See the result. MASH and TRASH stamps show the crowd winner, with the vote split, Elo change and new rank of your pick.
4. Next battle. A new pair rolls in on its own. Open Details on any token for market data and links to trade.
5. Share and come back. Post a meme card on X. When you return, TrenchMash tells you what happened to your picks.

Battles and votes

• MASH picks the winner. The crowd winner gets the MASH stamp, the loser gets TRASH.
• Both MID skips a pair where neither meme deserves a win. Both tokens get a MID vote.
• Keyboard: ← and → or 1 and 2 to vote, M for both MID, Space for the next pair.
• Auto-advance moves to the next pair after a short pause. Turn it off in your profile.
• A vote shows what people like. It says nothing about where the price goes.

Ranking

Every token starts at 1500 Elo. Each battle moves the winner up and the loser down by the same amount, up to 32 points. Beating a stronger token pays more than beating a weaker one.

A token enters the ranking after 3 battles. Until then it shows as rookie. Rugged tokens leave the ranking.

Token page

Arena: rank, Elo with its history, wins and losses, win rate, total votes, MID votes and your own votes.

Market: price, market cap, FDV, liquidity, volume for 5 minutes, 1 hour and 24 hours, buys and sells in the last hour, price change for 5m, 1h, 6h and 24h.

Copy the contract address, send the token into the next battle, or open it on Jupiter, DexScreener or pump.fun.

You get a random nickname on your first visit. Change it any time. The profile lives in your browser.

Your picks

Every token you voted for is saved with its market cap at the moment of your vote. The profile shows what it is worth now, and you can post the receipt on X.

Speed Mash

30 seconds, as many battles as you can. No result screen between pairs. Your best score is saved in the profile and you can share it on X.

Sharing on X

After a battle, a Speed Mash run or from a receipt, TrenchMash draws a 1200 by 675 meme card and suggests captions. Save the image with a long-press or right-click, pick a caption and post it.

Where tokens come from

TrenchMash builds a stream of new Solana tokens from public APIs.

Filters: Solana only, younger than 24 hours, must have a picture, at least $3K liquidity to enter a battle. For each token the most liquid pair is used.

Rug detection: if liquidity was above $3K and drops below $500, the token is marked rugged and moves to the Graveyard.

Feed modes

• Live feed. Real tokens from DexScreener. The green dot in the header says live feed.
• Demo world. When live data cannot be reached, TrenchMash runs a simulated Solana trench: a launch every 75 seconds, each token with its own fate. Everyone who opens the page at the same time sees the same tokens.
• Shared votes need the TrenchMash server. Without it, your votes stay in your browser.

FAQ

Is this financial advice?

No. Votes measure taste. Memecoins can go to zero in minutes.

Do I need a wallet?

No. There is nothing to connect and nothing to sign.

Where is my data?

Your nickname, votes and badges are stored in this browser. Reset them any time in your profile.

Can I game the ranking?

The server counts one vote per pair per device per hour and limits how fast one device can vote.

For developers

One Node 22 process with no npm dependencies, SQLite for votes and ratings, Server-Sent Events for live updates. Sized for about 500 players on a small VPS.

Run locally with npm run dev for the demo world or npm start for the live feed. Deploy with docker compose up -d, Caddy issues HTTPS.
